Lately we’ve been trying to cut costs where ever we can in order to save more for our new home. Well Aldi is the perfect place to start. I’ve been able to cut my grocery bill in half…HALF! We used to shop at other competitors and we would spend nearly $400 a month in groceries. After one month shopping exclusively at Aldi I’ve been able to cut our grocery budget down to about $200 a month.
Tonight’s grocery list:
Eggs (2 dozen)
milk (2 gallons)
Tomato sauce (4)
Shredded Cheese (4 bags)
coffee creamers (2)
Fresh produce: zucchini, onions, mushrooms, potatoes, honey crisp apples, bananas
Organic black beans (4 cans)
Tortilla chips, veggie straws and gluten free pretzels
Sour cream, yogurt
All for a total of $65.
At the competitor locations this would cost well over $100-$150 each trip. I now have over two weeks of meals planned out from this trip and our pantry stock.
Small steps in saving money for our family. Small steps toward reaching our goals.
