Rest for the weary mom; self care challenge. You can't pour from an empty cup. Take care of yourself first. We've all seen the quote spread across Pinterest and various sites. There is so much truth to this. As parents we often find it hard to fit in time to take care of us, especially mothers. We spend our days caring for and worrying about everyone but ourselves. I used to hit a certain point of exhaustion where my cup would be completely empty. That wasn't helpful to my family, my obligations, busy schedule etc. I've found the best way to find rest is to simplify my schedule, obligations and focus on taking care of my family and myself.
