After a busy weekend celebrating birthdays, spending time with family and enjoying the beautiful weather we decided we needed a day of rest. A reset!
Everyone was tired and a bit grumpy but we survived! We managed to take some time to play outside in the leaves, windows open and it was amazing for November in Michigan. We were able to finish the household chores, spend time together as a family and enjoy some tasty comfort food… perfect for fall!
Lately we’ve been trying to meal plan in order to save time, decrease our food waste and stay within our budget! We incorporate three to four meals per week with a few days of leftovers and our weekly friends dinner!
This weeks menu:
Monday- Sausage, kale and potato soup
Tuesday- Vegetarian baked ziti and Grandma’s garden green beans
Wednesday- Weekly friends dinner
Friday- Homemade Pizza (Bacon & Jalapeño for the adults…. ham & cheese for the kiddos!) We have been letting our daughter make her own pizza and she has SO much fun creating her dinner! I suggest you try it with your little ones.
Sunday evening we will sit down and meal plan again, then a trip to Aldi to restock our shelves & refrigerator is in order Monday morning. I will post our shopping list and meal plan with recipes next week!
But for now, take a look at this Sausage, Kale and Potato Soup! A delicious meal my husband was introduced to at the fire house! I’m lucky he’s an amazing cook and enjoys making dinner for our family. ❤
I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!
